Melbourne-based space-disco kids Midnight Juggernauts have had their debut LP Dystopia available in Australia for a few months now but the international 2CD version drops later next month, and I can safely say it is quite jamazing.
It's fairly rarely you put on an album and, upon first listen, have absolutely no idea which way the chords in each track are going to go. What happened to just good ol' tonic-dominant?
The album is a complete mixed-bag, but in a good way - some of the tracks grab you straight away, others you listen to and go "meh...?", only for them to grow on you over time like unstoppable space-disco tumours.
The chorus in Nine Lives is nothing short of aural ecstasy. THIS I want to hear out fo' sho'.

Road To Recovery - I can't help it - the first time I played it I suddenly imagined I was at a Muse concert. The harmonies and chords, perhaps even whatever way his voice sounds as he sings "recovery". I had to slap myself to sense. It is quite Muse-ish, but don't let that put you off, this track is actually GOOD. I'm ready for your wrath, Muse nuts. Bring it on...
