One of the simplest pleasures in my life is downloading tracks and remixes from the blogosphere, realising that they're a little/way too slow/fast, and making the appropriate tempo adjustments in Traktor 3. Of course, I'm never 100% positive if these changes are for the best - after all, when an artist makes a track they spend hours deciding the tempo that works best for the song. For the recording sessions for At War With The Mystics, Wayne Coyne had all the parts for one of the tracks (can't remember which one) re-recorded because he wanted to change the tempo from 114 to 118 BPM.
So out of sheer curiosity I present two downloads. One of them is original, the other has had its tempo modified by me. You decide which works best!
The difference is, as differences go, substantial enough - just over 7 BPM. I almost can't help but feel my one (the faster one) could do with being faster still - though her vocals go a bit crazy-fast if it's increased much more, like she's hyper-rapping. It's actually quite successful though, hmmmm... May upload this later...
